Taking the steps from top rope belaying and climbing to lead climbing is a big step, and can be scary.
Our instructors will show you the differences in belaying lead climbers* and fully equip you with the knowledge you need to make the transition to lead climbing as safely as possible. This session will include showing you how to manage the rope, avoid back clipping and Z clipping (the most common problems when people start to lead climb), and recommendations for equipment. The sessions will be tailored to your knowledge and ability.
Due to the nature of this course, we require a minimum of two people for it to run.

* Pre-requisites for learning to lead are that you must be aged 14 or over, be proficient in bottom rope belaying and climb at grade 6a or above.

Cancellation and Amendment Policy
All bookings are non-refundable.
Sessions can be rescheduled free of charge more than 14 days before your booking. Rescheduling a session within 14 days will incur a charge of 50% of the booking cost.
Any rescheduling is dependent on instructor availability, we cannot guarantee that your preferred date and time will be available.
Sessions may not be rescheduled on the day of the booking.
