Our Introduction to Climbing Course is the perfect next step for anyone wanting to turn climbing into a regular hobby and gain the skills needed to climb safely and independently.

Whether you’re completely new to climbing or already hooked after a taster session, this course will give you the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills needed to use the climbing centre unsupervised.

Creation is one of the UK’s largest indoor climbing centres, offering an enormous variety of climbing walls including:

• Vertical walls
• Technical slabs
• Powerful overhangs
• Beginner-friendly routes
• Advanced climbing terrain

With so many different routes and wall styles available, there’s no better place to start your climbing journey.

What You’ll Learn

Over the course of your sessions, one of our fully qualified instructors will guide you through all the essential skills needed to become a safe and competent climber.

You’ll learn:

• How to correctly fit and use your harness
• How to tie onto the rope using approved climbing knots
• How to safely belay using a standard belay device
• How to safely catch falls and lower climbers
• How to climb safely and confidently in an indoor climbing environment

By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and confidence to start climbing independently within your ability level.
